We created Platypus Wine Tours as a more relaxed alternative to the typical Napa Valley Tour experience. Our small-group tours, usually around 8 to 12 guests, visit three character-filled wineries off the beaten path, where guests can hear directly from the people behind the wines. We pick up from Napa, American Canyon, Yountville, St. Helena, and Calistoga, and include a fresh picnic lunch prepared in our on-site kitchen. Our knowledgeable guides take the backroads, sharing local stories while keeping the day engaging and easygoing.
Guests enjoy scenic vineyard views, approachable wine education, and plenty of time to settle in and enjoy each stop. Discounted tasting fees of around $25 are paid directly to the wineries and are often refundable with bottle purchases.
