On April 7th, the Texas State Board of Education will hold a public hearing and vote concerning the character and content of social studies education in Texas public schools for Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) – a terror-designated Muslim Brotherhood front-group hopes to compel the Board to replace our current, balanced curriculum with what can be described as the “CAIR Curriculum,” which omits key American historical facts and promotes biased narratives.
CAIR wants to rewrite the history of America and Texas to exclude vital information, for instance, about our presidents, founding documents, and the greatness of our country, which could lead to a distorted understanding of our nation's true history among students.
CAIR seeks to promote narratives that undermine traditional American values, including cultural Marxist ideas and globalist causes, which many community members see as harmful to our cultural identity and sovereignty. For example, CAIR asserts that the Alamo, the site of an epic battle for Texas independence from Mexico, was actually inspired by and a tribute to Islamic architecture, which distorts historical facts to serve its agenda.
Our nation and its truth must be accurately and favorably depicted in our children’s K-12 social studies curriculum. ACTNOW and share this with all your friends. Together, we can protect our American history and values.
